This form collects the elements a takedown notice needs under 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3). We act on valid notices within 24 hours, tell the person who uploaded the material, and publish the action in our transparency log.

Under §512(f), knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing carries liability for damages. That is the statute, not a threat — but a notice sent to suppress something you do not own is one you can be sued over.
