Nothing is ever auto-deleted
Go over your storage and uploads stop. That's it. Your files stay downloadable, your links keep serving, and we don't clear space on your behalf. On paid plans there's no idle expiry either.
Free accounts do remove files after 30 days idle. It's on the pricing page too.

Every file is checked for malware before anyone can download it. The state is on the file, not hidden in a log.
Free signup is capacity-gated, on purpose
We keep a fixed ratio of free accounts to paid ones, because free accounts are paid for by the paid ones and we'd rather cap the number than degrade the service. When the free slots are full, new signups join a waitlist and get an invite as slots open. Paid signup is never gated.
What this isn't
No desktop sync client. No document editing. No team workspaces. Upload a file, get a link, control who can use it, know what you're paying for.
